Govt fine e-scooter makers for fires...
Electric vehicle is being promoted continuously in the indian automobile market. In this, a special role of the central government is also being considered. The government is also giving strong subsidies to companies making electric vehicles. At the same time, ever since the news of fire in electric scooters has come to the fore, a special fear has also settled in the minds of the people. Due to this, now the government can also impose heavy fines on the manufacturers of electric scooters that catch fire.
In fact, due to the increasing incidents of fire, the government of india had also constituted a special committee, which was given the task of investigating these incidents of fire. At the same time, amidst the investigation of this committee, now a report has said that after sending show cause notices to electric scooter manufacturers for fire incidents in electric scooters, they can be fined.
Do not compromise on quality
Significantly, the central government is now planning to impose a fine on companies for allegedly using unsafe battery packs in electric vehicles, so that companies do not take any kind of product quality. According to reports, the indian government is planning to impose penalties on those electric two-wheeler manufacturers, whose electric scooters caught fire in the recent past.
At the same time, it is also being claimed that the government is not planning to take any serious action against these companies as the electric vehicle (EV) industry is still in its early stages but the government believes that the fines can compromise the quality. This will act as a deterrent for the companies and will also end the fear in the minds of the people regarding electric vehicles from the users.
Many vehicles had caught fire
Significantly, in the last few months, there were reports of fire in many two-wheelers from ola Electric to start-up companies, due to which questions were raised in the minds of users regarding their safety. Not only this, in some reports, these scooters were even compared to bombs, which could have been a setback for the indian government's expansion mission for electric vehicles.
