The ap high court gave a sensational judgment in two cases on november 24. It is noteworthy that in both these cases the court fined the petitioners. One of these two is a petition filed by the villagers of Ippatam who are sinners in the state during house demolitions and the other is a petition filed by the villagers of Marripudi in east godavari district. The court found the fault of the petitioners in both these petitions and fined them. She expressed anger that the court was misled.

The court did not agree to the request of the lawyers for the petitioners to pardon. She commented whether the courts are so lenient. It said that if the fine is imposed once, they will be careful not to mislead the courts the second time. In this context, the court concluded that the petition filed by the villagers that they have not been given any notice to the authorities regarding the demolition of their houses in the village is false. As it was revealed that the authorities had given notices to the villagers before the demolition of the houses, 14 villagers who filed the petition were fined. It ordered that each of them should be bound at the rate of one lakh rupees.

Also, the high court dismissed the petition filed by three persons against setting up a biomedical waste management plant in Marripudi, east godavari district. The counsel for the pollution Control Board brought to the attention of the court that the petitioners had already filed a petition before the single judge on the same issue. This is misleading the court. As a result, the court imposed a fine of one lakh rupees on the three petitioners.
