The india Meteorological Department (IMD) on sunday issued a yellow notice for six districts in kerala and coastal karnataka, where heavy rains are likely to pummelled sections of two states days after the monsoon lashed Kerala. The notice was issued in six districts throughout Kerala: Alappuzha, idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Wayanad, and Kozhikode. On sunday, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, kozhikode, Malappuram, Thrissur, and idukki are expected to see isolated heavy rainfall, and kozhikode and Kannur districts have been placed on yellow alert for Monday.

KARNATAKA RAINS
Due to the isolated heavy rains that are anticipated in these areas between june 10 and june 12, the IMD has issued a yellow signal for the coastal karnataka, Dakshina kannada, and Uttara kannada districts. Meanwhile, june 9 reportedly saw the arrival of the southwest monsoon across the districts of madikeri and Karwar. The monsoon is anticipated to spread from june 12 to other regions of the state.

The Dakshina kannada district of Mangaluru in coastal karnataka received 5 cm of rain, while the Uttara kannada district of Shirali and Kota received 4 cm. According to a story in The New indian Express, officials have also forecast that Bengaluru will receive 60 cm of rain between june 1 and september 30.

TAMIL NADU SWELTERS
For the eighth day in a row this june, the temperature in chennai and other areas of tamil Nadu has above 40 degrees Celsius. Experts noted that this year's delayed southwest monsoon is to blame for the state's oppressive heat. Meenambakkam in chennai registered a temperature of 41.1 degrees Celsius on saturday, while Nungambakkam recorded a reading of 41.

According to a story from The Hindu, Tiruttani sweltered at 41.1 degrees celsius, while other areas of the state were cooler. On saturday, temperatures reached around 40 degrees in the Cuddalore, Madurai, and Nagapattinam districts. Light rains in the evening, however, provided relief for chennai residents.

HEATWAVE IN telangana and ANDHRA PRADESH
Andhra Pradesh and telangana, both telugu states, have been suffering from oppressive heat. While temperatures in telangana peaked on saturday at 45.1 degrees Celsius in Kumaram bheem and Peddapalli, temperatures in andhra pradesh reached 40 degrees Celsius in various locations across the state. However, 40.9 degrees were recorded at Saroornagar, Hyderabad. Several telangana districts are predicted to cool off from thunderstorms with lightning and strong winds.
