Kumaraswamy said his party has decided to work together with the bjp as the opposition in Karnataka. Kumaraswamy is the son of former prime minister HD Deve Gowda. He has been the chief minister of the state in the congress coalition government. However, Kumaraswamy also said that the alliance for 2024 has not been decided yet.

Kumaraswamy said that I have already said inside and outside the assembly that both bjp and JD(S) are opposition parties, so it has been decided to work together in the interest of the state. He said it was decided in the Legislature party meeting that a 10-member team with representation from all communities would be formed to campaign against the congress in all the 31 districts of the state.
