According to him, Telangana's Hindus and Muslims, who organise the "Peerla Panduga" jointly, use Muharram as a symbol of their shared cultural heritage. He recalled that Hindus walk on hot coals in honour of Hasan and Hussain's sacrifices and sing songs referring to them as Ashanna and Oosanna, respectively. According to him, Muharram represents both the concept of secularism for the nation and the ganga Jamuna Tehjeeb.
The chief minister said in a statement that Singireddy Narayana Reddy, more often known as CiNaRe, won the coveted "Jnanpeeth Award" for his scholastic brilliance and promoted telugu on a global scale. He praised CiNaRe as a multifaceted poet who had proven his proficiency in a range of telugu literary forms, including poetry, lyrical verse, musical compositions, and ghazals.
