Due to the prolonged rain over the past few days, fractures have appeared on the karimnagar cable-stayed bridge's approach road. The rain also caused damage to the bridge's protective barriers. Officials have made it clear that there was no significant damage and that the compaction that followed the rainfall was a natural process.

Following the discharge of floods from the Lower Manair Dam, a huge number of people flocked to the cable bridge built across the river Manair on the outskirts of karimnagar town on friday to get a view of the bridge and the water below. Some people highlighted safety concerns due to the approach road's obvious flaws.

It was made apparent by R&B Executive engineer G sambasiva rao that the approach road was laid correctly and that natural compaction was to blame for the fractures that appeared after the rain. He claimed that the final layer of bc (bituminous concrete) had still to be applied and that it would take a season for the freshly placed road to settle down. Work on the dynamic lighting system and footpaths was also waiting. He claimed that when the rains started, the job was about to begin.
