Municipal Administration minister KT Rama Rao convened a high-level review meeting on the distribution of 2BHK homes in hyderabad limits on wednesday in light of the announcement made by chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao during his Independence Day address on Tuesday. Participating in the meeting were Ministers Talasani srinivas Yadav, P Sabitha indra Reddy, Mohd Mahmood Ali, Ch Malla Reddy, and Deputy Speaker t padma rao Goud. Senior ghmc staff members were also present.

Approximately 70,000 of the 75,000 built homes were ready for occupancy, according to the officials. Beneficiaries who live there have already received about 4,500 homes. They stated that distribution will start soon and that the applicant verification procedure was almost finished. The remaining 25,000 homes were still being built at a rapid clip.

The verification of candidates who have already submitted their applications is almost finished, according to officials, even if the process of applications being filed by eligible individuals is still underway. Rama Rao requested that officials finish the verification procedure and make plans for the distribution of the 2BHK homes to begin the next week. He stated that there would be five to six distribution phases for the homes. In order to meet the deadline of 1 lakh dwellings, he also urged them to finish the last few houses.

The minister said that there was no political influence in the selection of eligible recipients for double-bedroom homes. He emphasized the thorough field-level testing that the authorities conducted to make sure that the selection process was impartial and open. The Ministers proposed organizing a distribution campaign in which the houses would be handed out in front of all beneficiaries at their designated residences in order to increase transparency and community involvement. The cost of the double-bedroom homes being built by the state government was Rs. 5,04,00,000 in rural areas and Rs. 7,00,000 in urban areas.

The Ministers also talked on identifying beneficiaries and speeding up the procedure for the Gruha lakshmi scheme's prompt implementation in Hyderabad. Each woman who qualifies for the programme will receive a one-time grant of Rs. 3 lakh from the State government, which would help 3,000 families in each assembly constituency build their homes.
