Once again, indore will decorate and beautify like a big event like Pravasi Bhartiya Sammelan. For the first time,
the central government has also given the responsibility of hosting the National Smart City Summit to Indore.
There will be a gathering of 2,000 experts in this three-day national convention to be held from 27 to 29
september, in which CEOs of 100 smart cities announced across the country and other experts will be present.
President draupadi murmu will be specially present on this occasion and will distribute the award related to
Smart City Project in the award ceremony organized on 27th september on the very first day. About 62 awards
will be given. chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also be present on this occasion to receive the President.
The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing of madhya pradesh government has been made the
coordinator of the event.
Other departments including police Administration, Municipal Corporation, Development Authority have started
preparations for this very important event. This year, along with the Pravasi Sammelan, the Global Investors
Summit and after that the G-20 meetings were also organized in Indore. But this is the second time that on the
lines of Pravasi Sammelan, the central government has entrusted the responsibility of another big event to Indore.
Due to being number one in cleanliness for 6 consecutive times, all these events have come in the hands of
Indore.
