In saudi arabia, where the laws are strict, the Ministry of education has ordered that the parents of students who are absent from school for 20 days without any reason will be arrested and imprisoned.

Meanwhile in this regard, a news agency from saudi arabia, Makkah newspaper, said that if a student does not come to school for 20 days, it is the school's responsibility to file a complaint against their guardian or parents with the public prosecutor's office. It has also been reported that the Saudi Arabian government has the authority to investigate the matter under the Child Protection Act. The public prosecutor's office, which is investigating the matter, will finalize the investigation and then send the case to the criminal court. If it is proved that the student does not attend school due to the negligence of the guardian or parent, the judge has the right to sentence their guardian or parent to a fixed term of imprisonment.

Moreover in case of such a situation, the principal of the school should inform the Ministry of Education. A preliminary inquiry will be conducted by the Ministry of Education. Later, the case will be transferred to the family maintenance department. The department will inquire about the reason for the absence from the school. Following this, if necessary, the guardian or parent may be interrogated by the state attorney's office on behalf of the state before the case is taken to court. The school administration may refer the parents to the state attorney's office for investigation. A criminal court will then hear the case. Perhaps the court will sentence the parent or guardian to prison if the child is negligent in taking care of it. Also the move appears to be part of efforts to ensure better academic performance for students in the new academic year. Meanwhile, in saudi arabia, more than 60 lakh students have returned to school after a two-month summer vacation.
