On Saturday, september 2, a client discovered a fly baked inside an Osmania biscuit, and he filed a complaint with the neighborhood food inspector and food safety commissioner. From Miyapur, Vinay Vangala had purchased a packet of Osmina cookies. He ate a few before discovering a fly in one of the biscuits. The client voiced concerns about the application of food safety rules while tagging ghmc and the Food Safety & Rules Authority of india (FSSAI) official X (previously Twitter).

The ghmc Assistant Food Controller then responded to Vangala and promised him that action would be taken. The ghmc replied, "Dear Citizen, please specify the location and name of the establishment." G.B. Aravind, a worried internet user, commented: "It only goes to show how licences are granted and never updated. Reviews, raids, and unexpected inspections must be routine and not only carried out when called for. A lot has to be monitored on a regular basis.

Another X user stated, "Authorities must carry out a thorough investigation to stop similar incidents from happening again and to regain public confidence in the food safety system."

Food safety officer at Chandanagar (Serlingampally zone).Vangala had been informed by A Hrudaya that she would look into the situation and hold them accountable, but she couldn't be reached for comment.
