Have you ever considered eating biryani inside a red brick? When you think you've explored every aspect of biryani, from the classic handi biryani to the aromatic bucket biryani, a new contender—or should we say brick—steps up. A brother-and-brother team from hyderabad opened the appropriately called "Brick Biryani" restaurant in Kompally. The unique aspect of their restaurant is the way that biryanis are produced and cooked inside of these specifically made containers as well as served in bricks.
One of the brothers explained, "These are red bricks that are used for construction, but we customised them to prepare biryanis and other dishes in them." Beginning with a liberal coating of ghee, the bricks are then covered with a mixture of partly cooked rice and meat, finished with crispy fried onions, much as in the old-fashioned way.

Then, a dough composed of wheat flour is used to seal these bricks, and they are put into a prepared oven. Their brick oven has been specially designed for their renowned brick biryanis, enabling a smooth linear cooking procedure within the brick. "Our oven has been modified to make these brick biryanis. We check the temperature of each brick biryani separately, and the temperature for these biryanis is always 260 degrees, the man added.

In addition to curd rice, sambar rice, and a protein platter, which are all served in a brick, their menu offers baked chicken dum biryani, veggie biryani, and egg biryani. The precisely prepared biryanis are not just distinctive but also reasonably priced. Priced at Rs 150 for the chicken biryani, Rs 120 for the veggie biryani, and Rs 130 for the sambar rice, respectively. Other meals are furthermore offered, with costs ranging from Rs 130 to Rs 230. The team is prepared to open another location in the city soon.
