Transport minister Ramalingareddy said that the system of charging extra ticket fee in night shift buses of BMTC will be canceled and a uniform ticket fee will be charged according to the service of respective buses throughout the day. Speaking to reporters at Kalasipalya bus stand, BMTC has completed 25 years of its establishment and special programs are being organized for it. Accordingly, a mobile app is being released which provides other information including BMTC service. Along with that uniform ticket price is being fixed in BMTC. Until now, the busses plying in the night shift used to charge 50% more than the normal fare. Cancel it and you will be charged the ticket price fixed for the respective bus service in all periods. He said that an order will be made in this regard soon.
Kalyasipalya bus Stand has been constructed by the government at a cost of .60 crores. 4,400 trips of BMTC, 400 of KSRTC and 250 of private buses are serviced from this station. In the wake of complaints from the public regarding the infrastructure system of the bus stand, a review has been conducted. There are minor issues which will be fixed. I have also informed the authorities about this. He said that .50 will be collected daily from the private buses serving from here for the maintenance of the bus stand.
