Shoe-Cleaning Task Sparks Bigg Boss Telugu Controversy
A simple task has suddenly turned into a full-blown controversy on Bigg Boss Telugu — and the question being thrown around everywhere is brutally simple: Is cleaning a pair of shoes really a test of a contestant’s character, or did the task cross a line?
Just like the Tamil reality format Bigg Boss The Common Man, the Telugu version is currently running Bigg Boss Agnipariksha 2, where aspiring contestants are put through different challenges before earning their place in the reality-show spotlight.
But one particular task has now grabbed all the attention.
A female contestant was reportedly asked by actress and judge Bindu Madhavi to clean a pair of shoes. The contestant initially refused, saying that she could not do the task. She eventually washed the shoes with plain water and kept them aside.
That, however, apparently wasn’t enough.
Bindu Madhavi reportedly told the contestant that cleaning shoes was not a degrading or low-level job and subsequently issued her a RED CARD, sending her out of the competition.
And that is where the controversy exploded.
For some viewers, the issue is not about cleaning footwear at all. It is about whether a contestant should be eliminated for refusing to perform a particular task — especially when the task itself has now become the centre of the discussion.
But the biggest twist came next.
In an ironic turn of events, the judge herself reportedly stepped in and cleaned the shoes.
That moment has only added more fuel to the debate.
Was the contestant’s refusal simply part of a reality-show challenge gone too far? Was the RED CARD justified? Or did the incident unintentionally expose the fine line between testing contestants and humiliating them?
Whatever the answer, one thing is certain: Bigg Boss Telugu has found itself in a controversy much bigger than a pair of shoes.
