The whole application procedure by the bjp to run in the next State assembly elections has grown puzzling because none of the party's major leaders, MPs, or MLAs have participated. Over 6,000 applications from candidates for the ticket had been submitted to the party.

According to party sources, none of the party's MPs, MLAs, or former MLAs and MPs registered for a ticket to run in the assembly elections, with the exception of Dubakka mla M raghunandan rao and former mp AP Jithender Reddy. Even huzurabad mla and head of the bjp election management committee Eatala Rajender has not filed his application. However, none of the current MPs applied for the party ticket despite the party leadership asking all of them to run in the assembly elections, according to sources.

State bjp chief g kishan reddy, karimnagar mp Bandi Sanjay, nizamabad mp arvind dharmapuri, adilabad mp Soyam bapu Rao, national vice president DK Aruna, former mp Konda Vishweshwar reddy, former MLAs Komatireddy Rajgopal reddy, Chintala Ramachandra reddy, and NVSS prabhakar reportedly did not submit applications.

According to sources, a number of party leaders were concerned that the absence of the party's top leaders and people's representatives from the application process would give the erroneous impression to the public that the whole process was a sham and that the party had already selected its slate of candidates. They believe that the top leaders' actions will hurt the party's chances of winning the forthcoming assembly elections.

It was revealed that the bjp leadership had requested that kishan reddy run for office in his previous assembly district of Amberpet, Bandi Sanjay run in Sircilla, arvind dharmapuri run in Kamareddy, Jitender reddy run in Wanaparthy, and Visveshwar reddy run in Maheshwaram assembly districts. But one must wait and watch what action the party would do with reference to these constituencies as these leaders have not sought for the ticket.
