Reportedly women Reservation Bill was introduced in the lok sabha on tuesday (19 September). The bill is likely to be
passed in the lok sabha as the house government has a majority. Many opposition parties have also supported
the bill. Here the rhetoric regarding this bill is also continuing. Former deputy chief minister of bihar and
Rajya Sabha mp sushil kumar modi has issued a statement attacking congress and RJD supremo.
Today congress is trying to take credit for this sushil modi said that the congress, which did not dare to introduce this bill in the lok sabha in 2010 due to the
anti-women stance of RJD supremo Lalu prasad Yadav and the fear of the government falling, is today trying to
take credit for it. He said that due to the stubbornness of Sharad Yadav, mulayam singh yadav (both deceased)
and Lalu Prasad, half of India’s population was deprived of getting reservation in the legislature for the last 25
years. The historic task of passing the Women’s Bill will also be completed under the leadership of Prime
minister Modi.
sushil kumar modi congratulated prime minister Narendra Modi for introducing the Women’s Reservation Bill
on the first day of lok sabha proceedings in the new parliament house and said that now PM-post contender
Nitish Kumar should ensure that RJD helps in the passage of this bill. No one can create any obstruction.
Today there is not a single RJD member in the Lok Sabha'
The bjp leader said that when Atal ji's government had introduced the bill giving 33 percent reservation to
women in parliament and Assemblies in 1998, at the instigation of Lalu Prasad, his party's mp Surendra Yadav
signed it with the help of the then home minister Lal krishna Advani. The copy of the bill was snatched and
torn in the House. He said that this incident is recorded as a black spot in the parliamentary history of the
country, but it was such a sin of insulting the mother power that Surendra Yadav never faced the Lok Sabha
again and today there is not a single RJD member in the Lok Sabha.
