Uttarakhand governor Lieutenant General (Retd) Gurmeet Singh on thursday met the Indo Tibetan Border
Police (ITBP), army and Border Roads Organization (BRO) personnel at Malari, adjacent to the china border in
Chamoli district, and encouraged them. During the tour of this strategically important area, the governor said
that in difficult circumstances in the high mountain areas, our soldiers perform their duties with a selfless spirit
of service and because of them we and our country are safe. He said that we all are proud of the enthusiasm and
passion of the country's soldiers deployed on the borders. During this, he also discussed with the soldiers about
their problems and challenges.

The governor described the villages situated in the border areas as border sentinels and said that without
keeping them safe, we cannot keep our borders safe. He said that under the Vibrant village scheme, efforts are
being made to provide water, electricity, roads, health, communication and other basic facilities in the border
villages. After meeting the soldiers, the governor reached badrinath Dham. While visiting and worshiping Lord
Badri vishal in the temple, he prayed for the happiness, prosperity and prosperity of the country and the state.
