prime minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Sankalp Week program on saturday (September 30) at Bharat
Mandapam in Delhi. Sankalp Saptah is a week long program for the aspirational blocks of the country. ‘Sankalp
Saptah’ is linked to the effective implementation of the Aspirational Block Program (ABP). PM Modi had
started this program in january this year. Its objective is to improve 500 aspirational blocks of 329 districts of the
country.
PM Modi also discussed with panchayat and block level representatives. Handicraftsmen and artisans from
different states of the country came to participate in this program. These people had exhibited their products in
the international Convention Centre. PM Modi saw the things present at all these stalls and discussed with the
people who prepared them. After this he reached the program and addressed the people. This program was
organized at Bharat Mandapam, where many leaders were also present.
Gram Panchayats play a big role in the Aspirational Block Programme.
While addressing the people, prime minister Modi said that Gram Panchayats have a big role in the Aspirational
Block Programme. The development of the block is possible only because of the prompt working of the Gram
Panchayat. He said that this program is being held in Bharat Mandapam. This reveals the thinking of India.
Within a month, those people are sitting here who are working for the country. A few days ago, those people
were sitting here who work to give direction to the world.
