The indian High Commissioner, who had gone to meet people at a Gurudwara in Scotland, was stopped from
entering the religious place. This incident has come to light in Scotland, United Kingdom, when there is a
dispute going on between india and canada over the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. It is
being condemned across the country. bjp leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa has also strongly condemned this
incident. At the same time, the issue of misbehavior with the indian High Commissioner in the Gurudwara has
been raised before Britain. Sources said that India’s High Commissioner to Britain, vikram Doraiswami, was
stopped by some extremists from visiting the Gurudwara in Glasgow. Instead of arguing with them, the Indian
High Commissioner thought it best to leave from there. This issue has been raised with the british Foreign
Ministry and the police.
Speaking to news agency, Sirsa said, A person of any religion or community can come to the Gurudwara. Our
religion does not teach violence, rather we are the ones who protect humanity. He said, I strongly condemn what
has happened to the indian High Commissioner in Scotland. Gurudwara is the home of God. There is no
discrimination of any kind here. This is why there are four doors here.
Attempt to defame Sikhs: Sirsa
The bjp leader further said, It seems that these people do not understand this thing or an attempt is being made
to defame the Sikhs. This is being done only through a few people. What they don’t understand is that in a way
you are defaming our generations. A video of indian High Commissioner vikram Doraiswami being stopped
from entering the Gurudwara has also surfaced, in which youths can be seen taking him into a car.
