Commuting frustration has increased as evening traffic jams beset the Falaknuma-Shalibanda corridor. After 8 o'clock, there is bumper-to-bumper traffic, and there are no traffic cops in sight to control the mess. Private employee Yaser Arafath frequently faces traffic near the Shah Ghouse Hotel after leaving his office in Ameerpet. "There is bumper-to-bumper traffic, but no policeman to regulate it," he moans about the lack of traffic police to control the typical evening traffic chaos. Locals occasionally control the traffic because it might be difficult to drive past without them.

The difficulties at Engine Bowli crossroads, where TSRTC buses headed for the Falaknuma depot frequently cause backups, are highlighted by Taqiuddin, a school principal. "Traffic police or local civil policemen should man the junction and regulate traffic," he said in a statement urging traffic officers or local authorities to take charge of the crossing. Pushcarts block half the road, which makes the issue worse.

After nine o'clock at night, the situation deteriorates and the Falaknuma rail over Bridge becomes congested. After 8 o'clock, the traffic police's presence decreases, allowing commuters to deal with severe traffic congestion, especially after 10 o'clock. Residents have started phoning traffic police to send out mobile teams to remove roadblocks, mainly pushcarts and parked auto rickshaws, out of frustration.
