Rangadhamuni Lake, sometimes referred to as IDL Lake and covering 46.24 acres in Kukatpally, has experienced a spectacular metamorphosis. This well-liked lakeside area is poised to develop into a significant leisure destination and draw more tourists thanks to a dedicated walkway, plenty of sitting areas, and distinctive lighting fixtures. It was created by the hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and opened on thursday by minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao.
At a cost of Rs. 9.80 crore, the hmda undertook beautification projects in an effort to provide tourists with improved amenities. The uneven road was rebuilt by a paver-block promenade with cobblestone and granite flooring, as well as stepped and cubicle seating. Authorities replaced the railings and engaged in landscaping and sculpture placement to improve the aesthetic attractiveness of the area. The towering red flower-shaped light fixtures are the major draw, though. To preserve hygiene, a designated lavatory complex and trash cans were also installed.

While the cost of the civil construction was Rs. 7.6 crore, it is anticipated that Rs. 38.52 lakh was spent on the area's beautification. This lake is a popular gathering place in the city thanks to its near proximity to several gated communities and residential colonies along its main 568-meter-long bund, which borders the mumbai National Highway.
