Beginning on Friday, all public and private schools in the state will be closed for dasara vacation. The school Education department has released the academic calendar for the academic year 2023–24. It states that the schools will have a 13-day break for the dasara festival, which will run through october 25. The reopening date is october 26. Likewise, the junior colleges will resume on october 26 after their first-term breaks, which run from october 19 to october 25.
