The congress party's leadership is dealing with a difficult position of shrinking numbers as the telangana Legislative assembly election campaign nears its conclusion in the next five days. The low turnout at both local candidate meetings and those attended by high-profile personalities like as rahul Gandhi, priyanka Gandhi, and mallikarjun Kharge has sent shockwaves through the party ranks.

The congress, once famed for large demonstrations and fervent followers, now struggles to draw even a small crowd. This dramatic contrast to the raucous audiences at BRS gatherings raises concerns about the great old party's dwindling fortunes only a week before the election. The congress is experiencing internal friction as it makes last-minute modifications to candidates in an attempt to keep its supporters happy. Concurrently, the lack of significant crowds at events with key leaders like as mallikarjun Kharge, rahul Gandhi, priyanka Gandhi, and State President revanth reddy is generating concern.

Despite efforts to mobilise masses in the days preceding up to the events, AICC president mallikarjun Kharge's gatherings in Gadwal and nalgonda drew a small turnout. priyanka Gandhi's engagements in numerous seats on friday were similarly poorly attended, with a turnout of around 5,000 defying predictions of 30,000 at a gathering in Husnabad.

Revanth Reddy's gatherings suffered a similar fate, with 10,000 people expected at each venue but just 1,000 showing up. revanth Reddy's arrogant attitude towards his cadre was captured on video in situations where he threw them away or trampled on them when they requested a photo or handshake. His inflammatory comments against telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has backfired, alienating people who want a more nuanced and constructive debate.

Internal squabbles inside the congress have further perplexed people, diminishing the party's legitimacy and decreasing its appeal. Protests arose at certain revanth Reddy-led events over alleged non-distribution of promised funds to guests. In contrast, BRS roadshows continue to draw enormous crowds, reflecting the incumbent party's sustained popularity. The gatherings of chief minister KCR are met with great excitement, with beneficiaries of different initiatives anxiously expecting his speeches. Despite the possibility of rain, a big crowd gathers, reminiscent of the telangana agitation led by the Chief Minister.
