
Reportedly the supreme court has dismissed the asset accumulation cases against tamil Nadu ministers. The supreme court has ordered to quash the asset hoarding cases filed against tamil Nadu Ministers K.N. Nehru, Raghupathi, I. Periyasamy, former Ministers K. C. Mani, and Kishudavelu. The AIADMK government filed a case against these 4 ministers during the DMK regime during the years 1996-2001 for amassing assets in excess of their income. The madras high court heard the case and issued an order acquitting all the ministers from the madurai branch asset hoarding case.
Meanwhile the AIADMK government appealed against this order in the supreme court in 2015. The supreme court heard the case and ordered to quash the asset hoarding cases filed against tamil Nadu Ministers K.N. Nehru, Raghupathi, I. Periyasamy and former ministers K. C. Mani. supreme court Judges Kawai and narasimha have issued an order dismissing the property transfer case filed by the AIADMK government on the grounds that the case was filed belatedly. Similarly, the supreme court also ordered to cancel the cases against madurai Mayor from 2002-2004. The madras high court heard the case and issued an order acquitting all the ministers from the madurai branch asset hoarding case.
