The bharatiya janata party (BJP) on friday rejected Janata Dal (United)’s claim that the yogi Adityanath-led

government in Uttar Pradesh has not given permission to bihar Chief minister Nitish Kumar for his proposed

rally in prime minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi. Didn’t give.

The party also claimed that JDU canceled Kumar’s rally because it realized that the event would prove to be a

flop show. JDU had claimed a day earlier that Nitish Kumar’s rally to be held on december 24 in Rohaniya

assembly constituency of Uttar Pradesh was canceled because local authorities had refused permission for it.

Rohaniya assembly seat comes under varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of prime minister Narendra Modi.

This area is the stronghold of Apna Dal and BJP

Former deputy chief minister of bihar and rajya sabha member sushil kumar modi said, “He himself canceled

the rally because he felt that people would come in small numbers and it was going to be a flop show. This is

because this area is the stronghold of Apna Dal and BJP. Rohania is a patel dominated assembly constituency of

Varanasi and Union minister Anupriya patel belongs to this community. She is also the president of Apna Dal

(S), a constituent of the national democratic alliance (NDA). JDU leader and bihar Rural Development Minister

Shravan Kumar had said on friday that Kumar's rally had to be canceled because the Jagatpur Inter College

administration in Rohania, varanasi refused to allow it due to pressure from the local administration and the state

government.
