The troubles of Samajwadi party chief and former cm akhilesh yadav are showing no signs of abating. Former Union minister and five-time mp from Badaun seat Salim Iqbal Sherwani, who resigned from the post of General Secretary after Swami prasad Maurya, will soon leave the membership of Samajwadi Party. He will make the formal announcement of leaving SP in a program to be organized in Badaun on 26th February. There are speculations that Salim Sherwani may join the congress party for the third time after breaking ties with the Samajwadi Party.

However, in the last one week he has also talked to some bjp leaders. people close to Salim Sherwani claim that bjp has also invited the former Union minister to join its party and has also said that he will be given due respect according to his stature. In such a situation, the possibility of him joining bjp cannot be ruled out.

Salim Sherwani will leave SP

Supporters claim that Salim Sherwani will also contest the lok sabha elections. However, nothing is final yet regarding the seat and party. Salim Sherwani is going to his home town Prayagraj on 21st February. Here he will take opinion from close ones and supporters regarding future decisions. It is considered certain that Samajwadi party will face a big blow if Salim Sherwani leaves the party.

Actually, Salim Sherwani is considered to have a lot of influence in the Badaun seat from where akhilesh yadav has declared his cousin dharmendra Yadav as the lok sabha candidate. Salim Sherwani has been elected mp from there five times, while he has also lost some elections. Sanghamitra Maurya, daughter of SP rebel leader Swami prasad Maurya, is currently the mp from Badaun seat. There is also talk of changing the ticket of his daughter Sanghamitra Maurya because of Swami prasad Maurya.
