The ruling congress party in telangana is making significant strides in preparation for the upcoming lok sabha elections. Recently, the party made surprising announcements regarding its candidates for Greater Hyderabad, along with key appointments such as the Chief Whip of the government. The position of Chief Whip is crucial in the Assembly, as it represents the voice of the government and ensures coordination among party members.

While there were speculations that a senior leader like Mal reddy Ranga reddy would be appointed, the party surprised many by appointing Mahender reddy to the position. In terms of lok sabha candidates, Ranjith reddy and danam nagender have been selected to contest from Chevella and secunderabad constituencies, respectively. Notably, Ranjith reddy is the sitting mp from BRS but did not receive the ticket, while danam nagender, who won as Khairatabad mla from BRS, has joined congress recently along with Ranjith Reddy.


In the prestigious malkajgiri constituency, which was previously represented by cm Revanth reddy, congress announced Sunita Mahender reddy, the wife of Mahender reddy, as the mp candidate. Mahender reddy was appointed as the Chief Whip of the government. Sunita Mahender reddy, who hails from Rangareddy and is the Zilla Parishad chairperson, recently joined congress along with her husband, after the defeat of BRS in the elections.


These strategic moves by the congress party indicate its determination to strengthen its position in telangana and secure favorable outcomes in the upcoming lok sabha elections.
