Indian Employment Report 2024 has been released by the international Labor Organization (ILO). The report that came amidst election preparations shows that the problem of youth unemployment is increasing rapidly in India. Citing this report, senior haryana congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala has cornered the haryana government. He posted on X and wrote that youth are forced to migrate due to unemployment in haryana, 55% of educated youth are leaving Haryana. The bjp government is uninformed, youth are disappointed and helpless. Now such an anti-youth government will change.
Congress National President also reacted
Earlier, the reaction of congress National President mallikarjun Kharge had come to light. He posted on X and wrote that our youth are bearing the brunt of the pathetic apathy of the Modi government because the ever-increasing unemployment has ruined their future. The ILO and IHD reports conclusively say that the problem of unemployment in india is serious. But, the Chief Economic Advisor of the Modi government defends the dear leader by saying that the government cannot solve all the social and economic problems like unemployment.
Citing the ILO report, mallikarjun Kharge further wrote that 83 percent of indian youth are unemployed. Only 17.5% of youth in rural areas are engaged in regular work. The percentage of youth involved in economic activities has decreased from 42% in 2012 to 37% by 2022. Due to the severe shortage of jobs under the Modi government, fewer youth are now involved in economic activities compared to the Congress-UPA government. Compared to 2012, the unemployment rate of youth has tripled under the Modi government. congress leaders have appealed to the bjp government to take the problem of unemployment seriously.
