There are 48 lok sabha seats in Maharashtra. lok sabha elections 2024 are going to be held in five phases in the state with the second-highest number of lok sabha seats. The election commission of india (ECI) has announced that voting will begin on april 19 and end on May 2022. The results will be declared on june 4.

Phase 1, april 19: 5 constituencies

Phase 2, 26 April: 8 constituencies

Phase 3, May 7: 11 constituencies

Phase 4, 13 May: 11 constituencies

Phase 5, May 20: 13 constituencies

Many political parties are contesting in these elections. Among them, bjp, shiv sena uddhav Bal thackeray, Eknath Shinde's shiv sena, Sharad Pawar's NCP, Ajit Pawar's NCP, and congress are the major parties. bjp has announced its candidates for the upcoming elections in Maharashtra, with stalwarts like nitin gadkari contesting from nagpur and piyush goyal making his electoral debut from mumbai North. The party has announced 20 candidates from Maharashtra. shiv sena UBT has announced its 17 candidates for the upcoming lok sabha elections. Anil Desai is also included in this list, who will contest from mumbai South Central. Other candidates include rahul Shewale, Sanjay Mandlik, Sadashiv Lokhande, Prataprao Jadhav, hemant Patil, Shrirang Barne, Raju Parve, and Dhairyasheel Mane.
