BJP has announced the candidate for the by-election to be held on the Gandey assembly seat of Jharkhand. bjp has given a ticket to Dilipu Kumar Verma. Gandey assembly seat became vacant due to the resignation of former JMM mla Sarfaraz Ahmed. In such a situation, it has become necessary to hold elections there. Sarfaraz ahmed is now a rajya sabha MP. By-elections for the Gandey assembly constituency in jharkhand will be held on May 20. This seat comes in Giridih.
Sarfaraz and bharatiya janata party (BJP) leader Pradeep Verma were elected unopposed to the rajya sabha from jharkhand on march 14. On december 31, the assembly Secretariat issued a notification, in which it was told that the jharkhand assembly Speaker has accepted the resignation of Gandey mla Sarfaraz Ahmed. This seat is vacant from december 31, 2023.
