Aurangabad seat of maharashtra will again be the electoral clash?
This time too, a situation similar to the 2019 lok sabha elections has arisen in aurangabad lok sabha seat, where in the last elections, AIMIM had defeated the undivided shiv sena and snatched away its stronghold. Although the name of aurangabad district has been changed to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the name of the lok sabha seat remains aurangabad in the records of the election Commission. It comes from Marathwada region. The aurangabad seat has been won by the undivided shiv sena six times since 1989. But the party founded by bal thackeray five years ago suffered a setback when its veteran leader Chandrakant Khaire was defeated by AIMIM's Imtiaz jaleel by a margin of less than 4,500 votes.
Voting on this seat will be held on May 13. This seat will once again see a contest between AIMIM and the divided shiv sena faction Shiv Sena-UBT. AIMIM has given ticket to jaleel again. However, a lot has changed in the politics of maharashtra between 2019 and 2024. In june 2022, shiv sena faced division and the faction led by former cm uddhav thackeray did not get a new identity. He has also got a new election symbol. Khaire, on the other hand, is with the thackeray group.
