Delhi Crime: Bribes were collected from patients...

CBI has arrested 9 people including two doctors of Delhi's ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in corruption case. These include one professor and one assistant professor. They are accused of taking huge amounts of money from dealers in the name of treatment and supply of medical equipment from poor patients.

CBI has also raided 15 locations of doctors and dealers related to medical equipment. Dr. Parvat Gowda, Assistant professor of RML Hospital, has been arrested red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 2.5 lakh. He had received payment through UPI.

9 people including nurse, clerk and professor arrested

CBI has also arrested Rajneesh Kumar. Rajneesh is the senior technical in-charge in the lab of RML Hospital. Along with this, Dr. ajay Raj was also arrested. He is a professor in the department of cardiology. Shalu Sharma (nurse), two hospital clerks Bhuwal jaiswal and Sanjay Kumar Gupta have also been arrested. cbi has arrested 5 private people working in companies supplying different equipments.

All these people have been arrested by cbi under Prevention of Corruption and criminal Conspiracy 120B. cbi had received information that many doctors and employees of ram Manohar Lohia Hospital are involved in corruption. They do corruption through different modules. Like supplying medical equipment or getting doctors to promote them and taking huge amounts of money from private companies in return. This involves collecting money from poor patients through clerks in the name of getting their patients treated.
