Holiday on 29th May..!? Important announcement!!


The district Collector has announced that May 29 will be a local holiday for the district on the occasion of the Karur Mariamman Vaikasi festival.

Arulmiku Mariamman temple is located in Karur city. Every year Vaikasi festival is held very well in this temple. The main event of this festival is the sending of the pole to the amaravati River on wednesday 29th. A local government holiday has been declared on that day. In this regard, Karur district Collector Thangavel has announced that the Arulmiku mariamman temple located in Karur city of Karur district will be held from the 12th to the 9th. The main event of this is the sending of the pole to the amaravati River on wednesday 29th.

Therefore, the local government has declared a holiday for Karur district only on the 29th of wednesday, when this event will take place. This local holiday on the 29th was not declared under the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881. Therefore 8th June (Saturday) is declared as a working day to compensate for this holiday. The main event of this festival is the sending of the pole to the amaravati River on wednesday 29th.
