Threat to bomb 12 colleges of delhi University, created panic? 

More than a dozen colleges, including delhi University's prestigious Lady Shri ram college, Hansraj college and Ramjas college, were in panic after bomb threats were received on thursday (May 23). However, nothing suspicious was found during an intensive search following the bomb threat. A day earlier, a similar e-mail had been sent to North Block, in which it had received a bomb threat. An official of delhi Fire service (DFS) said that information about a bomb was received in Lady Shri ram college at 4.38 pm, after which two fire engines were pressed into service. After some time, other colleges also received similar threatening e-mails.

Nothing was found in the investigation

According to the DFS official, a bomb detection team consisting of local police, a bomb disposal squad and a dog squad reached Lady Shri ram (LSR) college and conducted a search, but nothing suspicious was found. NSR Principal suman Sharma told news agency 'PTI-Bhasha' that the entire college campus has been searched. He said, “We received an e-mail containing a bomb threat this afternoon. Immediately, the police were informed about this and they sent a bomb disposal squad. The search operation went on for two-three hours and the entire premises was searched. Apart from this, bomb threats were also sent to Hansraj college, Gargi college, Ramjas college, zakir hussain college, Indraprastha college for Women, Lady Irwin college, Kirori Mal college, Bhaskaracharya college, Deendayal Upadhyay college, Sri Venkateswara college and PGDAV College. - Received mail. Principal of Sri Venkateswara college, Prof. v Ravi told that the program of External Affairs minister S jaishankar has been canceled after receiving a bomb threat to the college.

These institutions also received threats

Apart from delhi University colleges, other institutions including delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University, school of Planning and Architecture (SPA) also received threats.
