Former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri's grandson and congress leader Anil Shastri has given a big statement. He said on monday (May 26) that the indian army has always shown its bravery. He said that if the congress feels that sending a delegation abroad is a PR stunt, then it does not give the names of its leaders for this.
Anil Shastri said, "It is a matter of belief that pakistan also conducted nuclear tests, but we are also a nuclear power, so we also have courage, we went there (Pakistan), entered and attacked, whatever terrorist camps were there, they were attacked and no thought was given to what effect it would have on the world and what would be the reaction to it. This was done because our government of PM narendra modi had full faith in its soldiers that they would be completely successful in this action." indian army has shown valour in every war- Anil Shastri
Shastri said that our army has shown valour and commitment in every war, be it 1965, 1971 or Kargil, and has kept the country's borders safe. Referring to the incident of tourists being killed after asking their religion in Pahalgam, he said that the army took revenge and taught pakistan a lesson. He expressed confidence that if such an incident happens again, the army will respond with full force.
What did Anil Shastri say on Shashi Tharoor's statement on Operation Sindoor?
On Shashi Tharoor's outspokenness on 'Operation Sindoor', Shastri said that the entire congress party is with the country in this action and rahul gandhi also made this clear in the all-party meeting. He said that when the opposition questions the losses and achievements, the government should not hesitate in giving clear information. He also said that sending delegations abroad is not a PR stunt.
