About 1300 Kashmiri students are studying in iran - JKSA
Raising this issue more seriously, the kashmir - SRINAGAR/JAMMU' target='_blank' title='jammu and kashmir-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>jammu and kashmir students Association (JKSA) informed that currently about 1300 Kashmiri students are pursuing education in iran, most of whom are studying medicine i.e. MBBS. The association wrote a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs, warning that the increasing military conflict between iran and israel has pushed the students present there into an environment of insecurity. The letter read, "Following the unprecedented increase in hostility between iran and israel, hundreds and thousands of Kashmiri students currently studying in iran are facing a serious situation. This unstable security environment has put thousands of indian students, most of whom are from the kashmir Valley, in extremely unsafe and immediate danger. These students went to iran to pursue professional education, especially MBBS, due to the country's economically viable educational infrastructure."
JKSA said that the association was informed that many students are enrolled in colleges and universities that are located very close to important military installations and strategic sites. "They are constantly hearing the sounds of air strikes, air defence sirens and increasing military activity around them. Since last night, the situation has rapidly deteriorated. Some students are even in cities where direct Israeli air strikes have been reported. The students are scared and feel completely helpless," it reads.
