The top election officer said that these documents of rahul gandhi will help in conducting a full investigation. rahul gandhi showed these documents during a conference in New delhi last week.
The Chief Electoral Officer wrote in the notice, 'Rahul gandhi said that according to the record given by the polling officer, Mrs. Shakun rani has voted twice, but on inquiry, Mrs. Shakun rani said that she has voted only once, not twice.
Place documents before the Commission
The notice also said that the preliminary investigation conducted by the CEO office also revealed that the tick-marked document shown by rahul gandhi has not been issued by the polling officer.
In the notice, the Chief Electoral Officer wrote, 'Rahul gandhi is requested to place the document he has before the Commission, on the basis of which a decision can be taken whether Mrs. Shakun rani or anyone else has voted twice and the Commission will investigate it thoroughly.
What did the election commission say about voter list revision?
On the other hand, regarding the special intensive revision of the voter list in bihar, the election commission said on sunday (August 10, 2025) that since the publication of the draft voter list of bihar on august 1, no political party has contacted to add or remove names in the voter list. According to the Commission, claims and objections can be filed on the draft list till september 1, which has a provision to include the names of eligible citizens or remove ineligible names.
