New Delhi, Aug 15 - The new e-Sushrut@Clinics initiative aims to empower healthcare professionals and foster an interoperable wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital health ecosystem, as highlighted by Union health Secretary Smt. Punya Salila Srivastava. This initiative is a collaboration between the National health Authority (NHA) and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

e-Sushrut@Clinic offers a lightweight, cloud-based Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) tailored for outpatient clinics, particularly benefiting small and medium healthcare providers. This initiative also represents a significant advancement in the Ayushman Bharat wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital Mission (ABDM), which seeks to cultivate an integrated wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital health infrastructure across the country.

Srivastava noted that the demand for an affordable, government-backed HMIS has been longstanding. With C-DAC's involvement, e-Sushrut@Clinic is expected to support tens of thousands of doctors and facility managers nationwide, enhancing efficiency, data security, and patient satisfaction. The ABDM-enabled version of the system will facilitate the adoption of ABDM, furthering the creation of an interoperable wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital health ecosystem.

Recognizing the successful implementation of C-DAC's systems in numerous AIIMS hospitals, e-Sushrut@Clinic aims to extend this proven solution to private healthcare stakeholders. Backed by the NHA, this initiative addresses the need for a trusted health Management Information System in the private sector.

The application developed by C-DAC is a streamlined version of the e-Sushrut HMIS software already in use at 17 AIIMS and over 4,000 health facilities nationwide. Healthcare providers can easily onboard the software via their laptops or mobiles through the health Facility Registry (HFR) and health Professionals Registry (HPR). If not registered, providers can register directly on e-Sushrut@Clinic.

The platform simplifies access to patient health records, telemedicine services, and streamlines diagnostics and prescriptions, making it easier for doctors in both public and private clinics to manage outpatient care. This initiative promises to digitize patient records, prescriptions, and billing for small clinics, sub-centres, and medium-sized hospitals with minimal technical overhead.
