
AIADMK’s Palaniswami Praises bjp, Slams DMK on Law and Order in tamil Nadu
AIADMK General Secretary E.K. Palaniswami addressed a public meeting in chennai on the birth anniversary of former chief minister CN Annadurai.
During his speech, he praised the bjp for supporting the AIADMK after the demise of former cm Jayalalithaa.
He acknowledged the Central government’s role in protecting the AIADMK and supporting the state administration during a politically unstable period.
Palaniswami stated that the bjp helped AIADMK during internal power struggles and attempts to destabilize the government after Jayalalithaa's death.
He said, “It is not right to forget gratitude,” and referred to Thiruvalluvar’s teachings to emphasize the value of loyalty and thankfulness.
Palaniswami made it clear that AIADMK has no conflict with bjp, reaffirming their political alignment.
He also highlighted financial assistance provided by the Centre to tamil Nadu:
₹63,000 crore for chennai Metro rail project.
₹11,500 crore for the Nadanthai Vazhi Cauvery scheme.
Claimed that the Centre granted all funds requested by AIADMK.
The AIADMK leader criticized the DMK government, stating that law and order in the state has collapsed under its rule.
He alleged that victims of crime are being charged, and even the police feel unsafe in the current climate.
Claimed that six policemen were killed in six months, and patrolling officers are frequently attacked.
Highlighted the arrest of a DMK panchayat president in a theft case, calling it a reflection of the party’s corruption.
Palaniswami accused DMK members of being involved in the illegal drug trade, stating that drugs are sold openly across villages and cities.
He criticized the DMK for ignoring repeated demands in the assembly and media to act against the growing drug menace.
