The EPFO’s new UPI withdrawal system, starting april 2026, allows you to receive PF funds directly into your bank account using your UPI ID, making the process instant, simple, and paperless.

Step 1: Ensure Eligibility

Before starting the withdrawal, make sure:

  • You have a valid UAN (Universal Account Number)
  • Your bank account is KYC-linked with your EPF account
  • You have an active UPI ID linked to the same bank account

⚠️ Important: Only verified UAN holders can withdraw PF via UPI.

Step 2: Log In to EPFO Portal or App

  • Visit the EPFO Member Portal or open the UMANG/EPFO app
  • Use your UAN and password to log in

Step 3: Navigate to PF Withdrawal Section

  • Go to “Online Services” → “Claim (Form 31, 19 & 10C)”
  • Select “PF Advance / Final Settlement” depending on your requirement

Step 4: Choose Payment Mode

  • Select UPI as the preferred payment method
  • Enter your UPI ID carefully (e.g., yourname@upi)

Step 5: Verify Your Request

  • Confirm your bank account details and PF balance
  • Accept the terms and conditions for online withdrawal

Step 6: Authenticate via UPI

  • You will receive a UPI payment request on your mobile app
  • Approve the transaction to transfer the PF money
  • Once approved, the amount will be credited to your bank account instantly or within a few hours

Step 7: Receive Confirmation

  • EPFO will update the transaction status in your account
  • You can download or screenshot the confirmation for your records

Keep your bank KYC updated with EPFO

Partial withdrawal or full settlement options will still be available; select as per need

Track your UAN balance before initiating withdrawal to avoid mistakes
