In other words, both rahul and Rohit are unlikely to feature in the t20 team. But since Rohit is the ODI captain, he will be the opener.With shikhar dhawan and Shubman Gill at the other opener spot, KL rahul will only get a chance in the middle order if he wants. Even in t20 cricket, the bcci has decided not to separate the pair of Rohit and rahul in Test matches as they play Test innings. Due to this, ishan kishan and Shubman Gill are likely to be the new pair in t20 cricket.Ishan Kishan and prithvi Shah, Shubman Gill and ishan kishan, and ishan kishan and Rutheraj will be in the BCCI's new opening pair list. It is this new pair that will feature in t20 matches for the next few years. Hence, rahul is out of t20 cricket.
