In response to the global developments post-Covid, numerous countries have been prioritizing tourism development and easing visa requirements. thailand and sri lanka have recently offered indians the opportunity to visit these countries visa-free for a duration of 30 days. Now, dubai has made a significant announcement in this context.

Dubai has introduced a new visa specifically for indian tourists, termed the "Multiple Entry Level Travel Visa," as reported by the dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET). This visa allows indians to make multiple visits to dubai over a period of five years, with each stay limited to 90 days. However, the total duration of stays in a year should not exceed 180 days.

The application process for this visa is expected to take two to five working days. Eligible applicants need to fulfil specific criteria, including having around $4,000 or its equivalent in their bank account for the last six months. Additionally, health insurance valid in dubai is a mandatory requirement.

Dubai, being a popular destination for indian tourists, expects approximately 2.46 million indian visitors in 2023, marking a notable increase of around 25 percent compared to the pre-Covid-19 situation. The introduction of this new visa aims to facilitate multiple visits for indian tourists, further enhancing the tourism experience between the two regions.
