Saraswati Puja : What time to perform Puja Rituals...?


All over the nation, different customs and rituals are observed to commemorate Navratri. Maa Saraswati is honored for three days during this auspicious time. Goddess Saraswati is regarded as the daughter of Lord shiva and Maa Parvati in many traditions, but in others, it is said that Maa Saraswati emerged from Lord Brahma's lips to become the goddess of speech and knowledge. It is stated that Lord Brahma was enamored with her beauty and wedded her. She is revered as the Hindu goddess of learning, wisdom, music, and the arts. The dates of this year's navratri Saraswati Puja are october 20–22. Saraswati Avahan is observed on the first day of the puja, when the goddess is called upon. 

Goddess Saraswati is portrayed as sitting on a lotus bloom, carrying a Veena, and dressing serenely in white. Her two hands are playing Veena, the other holding a book and a rosary. 

This year's Saraswati Puja for navratri starts on october 20 with Saraswati Avahan, and on october 21, the major day for worshiping and receiving the goddess' blessings is celebrated as Saraswati Pradhan Puja Day. In South India, the day is greeted with great zeal and celebration. Maa Saraswati receives offerings of white flowers, sesame seeds, and rice-and-coconut-based prasad items on this day. Worshippers of the goddess are drawn to her in white. parents advise their children to bring books and notebooks to receive blessings from Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom. Saraswati Visarjan, the final day of Saraswati Puja, marks the goddess's departure from Earth and return to her home planet.
