The Andhra cricket Association (ACA) revealed on tuesday that players had been made to sign the 'Letter of Support' that Hanuma Vihari had posted on his social media accounts. Following his request to resign as the team's captain, Vihari took a savage stance against the Andhra cricket board on Monday.

After Andhra lost by 4 runs against madhya pradesh at the Holkar cricket Stadium in Indore, the team was unable to advance to the Ranji Trophy 2024 semi-final. Vihari then accused the board of mistreating him and of political meddling.

After the father of indian cricketer prudhvi raj KN, a politician, complained to the state association about the cricketer verbally abusing his son, who was the 17th member in their team, Vihari alleged that the andhra pradesh board requested him to step down. In addition, Vihari said that he would never play for Andhra and expressed his embarrassment at the board's actions.

The ACA asserted, however, that players' signatures demanding Vihari's reinstatement as captain were gathered under coercion. The state agency added that ACA was notified of concerns over Vihari's previous behaviour by a number of players and support staff members.
