ISSF world cup Finals Kicks Off in Doha
The ISSF world cup Finals will begin tomorrow in Doha, marking the season-ending competition for top shooters worldwide.
India’s shooters are expected to perform strongly, continuing their excellent form from the 2025 season.
The tournament features the top 12 shooters in each category, based on world cup and World championship rankings.
Top indian Contenders
Manu Bhaker and Esha Singh, India’s leading pistol shooters, are favorites in the 10m air pistol and 25m sports pistol events.
They have secured top-12 positions through their performances in previous World Cups and World Championships.
Samrat Rana (recent Cairo champion) and varun Tomar (bronze medalist) will compete in the men’s 10m air pistol event.

Rudraksh Patil (former world champion) and arjun Babuta (4th at paris Olympics) will represent india in the men’s 10m air rifle event.
Experienced Competitors and Rising Stars
Anish Bhanwala, silver medalist at the World Championships, will compete in the 25m rapid fire pistol event.
Elavenil Valarivan, bronze medalist in Cairo, aims to continue her strong performance in the women’s 10m air rifle event.
Zoravar Sandhu, trained under legendary shooter Peter Wilson, will compete in Trap shooting, adding experience to the team.
The indian team also includes multiple world cup medalists and former champions, highlighting the squad’s depth and skill.
Previous Successes and Medal Prospects
India won 14 medals earlier this year, including 3 golds, across Olympic and non-Olympic events at the World Championships in Cairo (pistol/rifle) and Athens (shotgun).
The world cup Finals offer prize money: 5,000 euros for gold, 4,000 for silver, and 2,000 for bronze.
India aims to replicate their previous success, improving on the last Finals in New Delhi, where they won 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
