There were speculations that a bollywood remake of Aadai is on cards, and that ace producer mukesh bhatt has acquired the remake rights of the movie and that National award-winning actress kangana ranaut might be reprising the role played by amala Paul in the original. 

Now, Producer Arun Pandian released an official press note that his  A&P groups have acquired the remake rights of Aadai and they have considered several names to reprise the role of amala Paul.
