The first season of house of the Dragon is now complete, so it's time to evaluate the show's p
ositives and negatives thus far. There is no doubting the Game of Thrones prequel is a huge success with numerous positive reviews complimenting various components, including the score and the screenplay, and ratings roughly as high as HBO has ever seen. While house of the Dragon has received favourable reviews from critics and viewers alike, there has also been much criticism of the programme and the things it has tried to do that didn't work.
The HBO series house of the Dragon is a strong product because to its cast and characters. Similar to Game of Thrones, a drama like house of the Dragon plainly needs a strong cast to support its intricate storyline. house of the Dragon, like its predecessor, relies on lengthy speech sections where important information is exchanged between characters while being a show recognised for its horrific imagery. Because of the outstanding performances given by such a diverse and talented ensemble, with Paddy Considine's portrayal of king Viserys Targaryen standing out, most of these tense and emotional moments succeed.
