Apple was recently dealt a setback by EU regulations governing the sorts of mobile phone chargers that may be used. They have been granted a 24-month period to generalise the charger types for mobile phones. And this might be Apple's response to EU regulations. apple and other firms now have 2 years to implement the changes, so the iphone 14 won't be touched, but the iphone 15 will.

After sticking with the Lightning connector from 2012, apple is naturally agitated at the prospect of having to make a shift. One option to avoid the USB-C port need is to have a port to charge at all. We've heard rumours that subsequent iPhones may have a portless design, so it's possible that apple is developing on it already. What's the deal with that? It would need to use wireless docks, which the iphone already does.

Apple's wireless charger isn't very quick right now, either when compared to competing smartphones or when compared to cable charging rates, so that's something the firm should improve if it does aim to go portless. Professionals would also need a simple means to transfer huge sums of information and files without having to plug in the phone, yet there is currently no viable alternative to wires for this. Let's hope apple does develop something which can revolutionise the traditional charging and data transfer method that could possibly end lots of questions.
