The Institute for Research and Security reported this in a blog post. Apps like QR codes and document scanners are also said to be big problems.

According to research from Online Threat Winf, these apps have been downloaded a total of 300,000 times. Experts say that after downloading from the google Play Store, such apps may only display malware content through third-party sources.

The Institute for Research and Security reported this in a blog post. Apps like QR codes and document scanners are also said to be big problems. Includes Two Factor Authenticator, QR Scanner, PDF Document Scanner, QR Scanner 2021,  PDF Document Scanner,  Protection Guard, QR Creator Scanner, master Scanner Live and CryptoTracker, and more.

The researchers said that the apps were part of four malware families: Anatza, Alien, Hydra and Ermac. This malware is designed to steal users' online banking passwords and two-component authentication codes.

Even as you type, the malware captures and takes screenshots of infected smartphones, research says.

Research shows that the Anatsa malware family has been downloaded 100,000 times. It should be noted that such apps have positive reviews in the google Play Store, which makes them more legitimate.

Google has restrictions on the distribution of such apps, but these apps are in the form of very small pieces of malware that cannot be detected by the technologies of the google Play Store.

Last month, it was discovered that at least 14 Android apps in the google Play Store were infected with the joker malware.

The apps were discovered by an analyst at cybersecurity firm Kaspersky. Some apps affected by the joker are very popular with over 50,000 installations, while there are other lesser-known apps.
