But while paragliding in Kullu-Manali, the female techie fell into the valley. As a result, she suffered serious injuries to her spine. Both the couple hail from the east godavari district of AP. But her husband brought her to AIIMS and she is being treated. According to the 'Times of India' article, 28-year-old Gollamandala Presheena and 29-year-old ajay from east godavari district got married in february this year. Both are working as software engineers in Hyderabad. But both of them did not have time and decided to go on honeymoon after some time. The couple decided to go to Kullu-Manali in himachal pradesh, thinking that this is a good time to escape the heat of the summer here.
The couple reached manali on 30th April. The next day visited Kullu. They wanted to try paragliding and river rafting. But at first, Prisheena was afraid of paragliding. But when the instructor told her that if she tried, she would get rid of the fear and she agreed. But after hearing the word go, she did not take off from the fixed point but went diagonally, so she could not paraglide properly. As a result, it hit a tree and fell about 15 feet deep. Even the parachute she was wearing didn't open properly. As a result, she suffered severe injuries. As Prisheena could not stand, six people lifted her up and rushed her to manali Hospital. Doctors said to take bed rest for six weeks. But her husband ajay got suspicious and brought her to AIIMS. Dr deepak Gupta, the neurosurgeon there found that Presheena was suffering from severe back pain and weakness in both legs after conducting tests.

Immediately a team led by Dr. deepak Gupta operated for three hours. The doctor said that if she was not treated in time, the condition would have worsened. But the way the victim was picked up after falling into the valley and given first aid caused more damage, he said. In case of such an accident, the doctor suggested that patients should first be placed on a spinal board. But now Presheena is recovering. He is likely to be discharged in a few days.
