Ram Gopal varma expressed his sorrow over the passing of rebel star Krishnamraju in a series of tweets on sunday night. "It's a shame that telugu Film industry is such a selfish place where a legendary actor and producer who produced films like bhakta kannappa and Tandra Paparayaudu has expired, but they don't even declare a holiday," he wrote.
Ram Gopal varma continued by saying that if tollywood fails to give Krishnamraju a fitting burial and farewell, then would be more akin to us spitting in our own faces. He mocked actors like Krishna, Chiranjeevi, Mahesh, Pawan Kalyan, and even prabhas by terrorising them with the prospect of a similar destiny following their deaths.
Varma emphasised that tollywood is a place that took almost a month's holiday to control price concerns but won't offer a day holiday on humanitarian grounds. "If your death needs to be cherished, then you need to value the death of a legend like Krishnamraju," he remarked. It appears that varma finally caught some bait after a long time and is chewing it. The director is always known for making such statements and this is nothing new for Tollywood.
